RITUALIZED SELF-CARE FOR QUIET HEARTS

A moment to talk to your future self.

No matter how busy life feels, a quiet moment to care for yourself is always within reach. Kamidana is a gentle doorway to that small, personal moment.

What is this app?

A short self-coaching app that helps settle your mind in a single line.

Kamidana reimagines prayer and journaling as a small, gentle conversation with your future self. No long rituals. No special preparation. Just placing one feeling or one wish can quietly soften your day. It feels less like "religion" and more like writing a tiny note to today's you — a light, personal space you can return to at your own pace.

Why now?

Because we live in a time overflowing with mental noise.

・Write one line ・Release one feeling ・Send a tiny wish ・Speak softly to today's you These short, simple acts take only a few seconds, yet they quietly realign your inner world over time. It's not deep analysis or heavy self-work. It's more like telling yourself one gentle sentence at the end of the day.

How does it help you realign?

Short words and one tap to gently adjust your direction.

Who is this app for?

For people who push themselves a little too hard.

For the days you need to look strong. For the days nothing goes right. For the moments you say "I'm fine" even when you feel quietly tired inside. This app is for anyone who wants to be just a little kinder to themselves — a small resting place you can keep in your pocket.

How will it make you feel?

A little lighter. A little more able to face tomorrow.

The moment you write, wish, or release — your heart shifts, even if only a little. Simply noticing "I did my best today" can change how gently you look at yourself tomorrow. This is the minimal art of prayer: not grand or dramatic, but quietly effective over time.

A worldview with gentle prayer.

Bringing a light style of prayer into your everyday life.

Borrowing the aesthetics of Japanese stillness and open space, Kamidana translates universal human acts — praying, wishing, releasing — into soft, minimal rituals for modern life. It doesn’t ask you to follow any religion or heavy spirituality. Instead, it treats prayer as a gentle way to take care of your own heart — a soft design for quiet, everyday moments.

Why is it easy to keep going?

Because it’s short and gentle.

Habits begin with softness — with something that feels possible even on a tired day. Only then can they quietly blend into your routine. And they last when there is a small moment of comfort: the tiny satisfaction after writing one line before you close the app. Kamidana is designed to create that gentle "ah, that feels nice" moment.

What can you do with Premium?

An even quieter space, just for you.

If you'd like Kamidana to feel a little more like your own personal room, the Premium plan helps you focus more gently on your inner world. No overload, no pressure — just a simple upgrade to make your inner time feel calmer.

Fox Den – a small hidden story with the fox.

A little secret room where you don’t have to try so hard.

In a small room behind the shrine office inside the app, a little fox spirit lives quietly by a stone statue. This hidden space is called the Fox Den. You can give tiny gifts, change the décor, or simply sit and watch for a moment. The Fox Den is a space for not trying so hard. It is not for achieving anything big, but for having a gentle corner where your feelings can simply exist, tucked away in the back of Kamidana.

Frequently Asked Questions

To help you feel safe using Kamidana, here are some common questions.

Q. Does this app promote any religion?
A. No. Kamidana is a Shinto-inspired self-care and journaling app. It borrows gentle elements from Shinto and the Japanese calendar, but it doesn’t promote any particular belief, and it never asks you to join or convert to anything. You can simply use it as a light tool for everyday reflection, gratitude, and letting go. You don’t need any special knowledge about Shinto — if you simply want to take better care of yourself today, this app is for you.

Q. Is it free? What’s the difference with Premium?
A. The core features — prayer, wishes, release, and diary — are available for free. The Premium plan adds no banner ads, a calendar view, additional auspicious / inauspicious days, and special fox moments in the Fox Den, for users who want a quieter, more focused space.

Q. Is my data private? Can others see what I write?
A. Your prayers, wishes, and diary entries are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers and are never shown to other users. We also do not send this content to AI services or use it to train any AI models. Unless you choose extra backup features yourself, your entries stay as notes known only to you and your phone.

Q. I usually can’t keep up with journaling apps. Will this work for me?
A. Kamidana is designed around tiny actions — just one line, just one release. You don’t have to write every day. Even if you open it only when you remember, each small line still becomes part of your emotional record.

Q. How can I move my data when I change phones?
A. You can transfer part of your data by using the backup feature. From the app settings, create a backup to your Google Drive, then install Kamidana on your new device and restore from that backup using the same account. Please note that some items are stored only on the device, so your new shrine may not match the previous one perfectly.

Q. How can I report a bug or problem?
A. You can send a report from the app settings under “Feedback / Contact”. You can also use the Kamidana message box. If possible, please include your device model, OS version, app version, and what you were doing when the issue happened. That helps us a lot.

Would you like to talk with your future self, just a little?

You don't have to write a lot. You don't need the perfect words. Just one line is enough for today. May that single line become a quiet support for the you of tomorrow.
